Warlocks are not supposed to use their powers. Those of us who choose to live in the open must pretend to be mortal. I've been hiding for some time now, so I suppose I'm not... strict... on keeping a rein on my magical abilities. But I've been looking for you for a long time. A friend asked me to do her the favour of finding you. She said that one day I would come upon a pack of young wolves and that they would need my help.
— Arthur Beauchamp, explaining his mission to Lawson.

Arthur Beauchamp, once known as Snotra of the Vanir, is the ancient Norse God of the Forest. He is the brother to Nord, nowadays known as Norman Beauchamp. After one of his friends told him that a pack of Wolves in need would cross the Portals to Earth, fleeing Hell and the Hounds of Hell, he went to welcome them and help them get used to this world.

Back in the days of Florence, he met Gabrielle, the Virtuous, an Archangel, and the two became close friends. However, when she had hard times with her baby, he wasn't present, and to ammend for his absence, he promised to help her save her kind by welcoming the Wolves and explaining their upcoming role in the War for Paradise.
