Earth, or rather the Earthly planes, also called Midgard in Norse mythology, is the world where humans and other creatures live.

If at first, the Gods of Asgard and the Angels didn't live there, those two species were expelled from their own world and forced to live on Earth and hide their identity to the mortals. Indeed, after the destruction of the Bofrir Brigde, the Gods were seperated and some were trapped on Earth, and the Angels were cursed to live here after Lucifer's rebellion.
